Pierce
County, the scenic gateway to
Western
Wisconsin
along US highway 10 through
Prescott WI.
Pierce County was established in 1853 and for
over 150 years the county enjoyed a vigorous and prosperous
agriculturally based economy which is still evident today
in the pastoral vistas of dairy farms together with nostalgic
Apple
Orchards.
Over the years Pierce County has retained its
rural charm, while evolving into the pristine tourist destination
it has become today.

County is rich in history and culture with one of the finest
Genealogical
resource centers in the country located at the
University
of Wisconsin River Falls. The University is also Host
for the
NFL
Kansas
City Chief summer football camp in August.
